VOE Presents At Inner City Chicago Schools!

VOE was extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to present in inner city Chicago Public Schools this past Thanksgiving break. The team had the chance to visit Haugan Elementary in Chicago,IL where 5 assemblies with all 5th grade classes were conducted. A different experience than past assemblies, we gained a different perspective on how kids look at the world. Being able to compare the responses to activities and how different they were simply because of location (surrounding Detroit schools and Chicago schools), it was eye opening to find that little changes in a child's background can have different influences on the way they react to biases.
